The services involved in network design and implementation include:
Site Survey & Facilities Preparation
MTE conducts a site survey prior to any network implementation. The site survey indicates if there is a need to upgrade the facilities. Facilities preparation includes electrical upgrades, cabling, rack installation, wall bracket installations, air conditioning and any other upgrades deemed necessary and agreed to by the customer prior to network installation
LAN/WAN Design
System integration requires considerable planning. MTE takes many factors into consideration prior to, and during a LAN/WAN design and integration solution provided for any customer. To assist in the planning and implementation of an integration project, MTE offers full service project management, complete with scheduling, budgets and status reports. Our technical staff addresses the customer's proposed needs including hardware and software standards, system security and compatibility with existing or all new installations.
Server Configuration, Delivery and Installation
MTE understands that each server is marked for a certain purpose. Our engineers will configure the servers according to design specifications and install them at the required sites.
Workstation Configuration, Delivery and Installation
Typically an organization will have between one to three standard configurations for their workstations. These standards include the hardware and software specifications. MTE engineers in conjunction with the customer's staff can design a 'Gold CD' that would contain all the standard software required for the workstations. During the rollout process this master CD will be used to download a ghost image onto the workstations before installation at the end-user's desk.
